Summing up
Challenges such as cost escalation, scheme viability and labour availability weigh on the construction industry. However, there is still relatively strong activity due to the minimum energy efficiency standards driving retrofit and high levels of government investment.
Therefore, it is important that construction takes action to improve its own fortunes. Adopting digital approaches, including artificial intelligence and data analytics, increasing collaboration and acting to attract a more diverse workforce will help improve project outcomes and efficiently use resources.
